Miami, Florida (3 de marzo, 2015) - El cantautor y referente de la música cubana, Tomas Díaz está de regreso con "Suky", una nueva canción que contiene todos los elementos para convertirse en un éxito internacional; un verdadero híbrido y fusión de géneros que representa y reúne las influencias musicales recogidas durante su carrera artística.
Tomas Díaz, nacido en Matanzas, Cuba, creció muy cerca a la música. De joven fue seducido por los sonidos del Rock, la guitarra de Jimmy Hendrix, el estilo y puesta en escena de James Brown, el carisma y espíritu revolucionario y pacifista de Bob Marley, sin olvidar los sonidos de Cuba, como Celia Cruz, la Orquesta Aragón o Pello El Afrokan, y la música africana de Fela Kuti.
Su estilo musical transita por los ritmos propios de Cuba, pasando por el calipso, influenciado por los sonidos caribeños de Republica Dominicana, Haití y Jamaica y por la amalgama de sonidos y el cóctel de géneros de Miami en donde reside hace más de 30 años.
"Suky" tiene vida propia: un ritmo contagioso y letra divertida que invitan a bailar y desde ya se empieza a oír en varias estaciones en Estados Unidos, Puerto Rico y República Dominicana. A partir de hoy, 3 de marzo, estará disponible en todas las plataformas digitales.
El video, que tiene su estreno hoy en VEVO, E! Entertainment Television Latin América y Corriente Latina captura la esencia de la canción y presenta una coreografía original personificado por un grupo de bellas bailarines y una serie de personajes reconocidos de la música, televisión, cine y el entretenimiento. Entre los que destacan se encuentran la leyenda del hip-hop Flavor Flav; Ex-Miss Universo, modelo y actriz Alicia Machado; el célebre actor Erik Estrada, el artista cubano, Carlos Oliva; las estrellas de YouTube, Pepe Billete y Peter el Anguilla, así como el comentarista de ESPN, Dan Lebatard, por mencionar algunos. Asimismo, Tomasito, Libertad, Suky Pink, Suky Blue, Suky Violet y una gran pandilla de amigos nos transportan a la tierra mágica de "Suky" donde todos están bienvenidos y la euforia reina.
Tomas Díaz ha trabajado con diferentes géneros y artistas de la talla de Bruce Springsteen, Phish, Clarence Clemmons, Celia Cruz, Snoop Dogg, Chayanne y Ricky Martin, entre otros. Forma parte del reconocido grupo Spam Allstars con el que ha recibido nominación al premio Latin GRAMMY en el 2003 por su álbum Fuacata Live!, siendo integrante fundamental de uno de los grupos más respetados de la ciudad, que suma cinco álbumes editados y una agenda con un promedio de 200 conciertos por año.
El próximo 7 de marzo a las 3:00 PM. hora Este, Tomas Díaz se presentará en el Douglas Road Stage del Carnaval On The Mile, uno de los carnavales culturales y artísticos más importantes del Sur de La Florida, en el que se reúnen un excelso y selecto grupo de cantantes, escultores, pintores y fotógrafos de la ciudad de Miami a lo largo de la calle Miracle Mile de Coral Gables.

Miami, Florida (March 3rd, 2015) - Singer and Cuban music referent, Tomas Diaz is back with "Suky" a new song that contains all the elements to become an international success; a true hybrid and fusion of genres that represents and brings together the musical influences collected during his career.
Born in Matanzas, Cuba, Tomas Diaz grew upvery close to music. He was seduced at an early age by the sounds of Rock: Jimmy Hendrix' guitar, James Brown style and staging, Bob Marley's charisma and his revolutionary and pacifist spirit, without forgetting the sounds of Cuba: Celia Cruz, the Orchestra Aragon and Pello El Afrokan, while flirting with Fela Kuti's African signature style.
His musical style moves through the rhythms of Cuba to calypso, influenced by the Caribbean sounds of Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica. Adding to his unique style are the amalgam of sounds and the cocktail of genres that Miami offers, where he has lived for over 30 years.
